YOU CAN M-O-V-E THOSE MOUNTAINS

"I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible to you" (Matt. 17:20, NIV).

I. M-OTIVATION IS NEEDED

"What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them" (Mark 11 :24).

A. Many Christians lack motivation. Merely existing from day to day, they fail to live victoriously.

B. Mountain-moving Christians are motivated by God's love. They possess an inner drive, set goals, and strive to reach them.

C. When Christ's love is lifted up by faith, mountains of doubts and fears come tumbling down (see text).

2. O-BEDIENCE IS NEEDED

"He humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross" (Phil. 2:8).

A. Christ was obedient unto "even the death of the cross." We must be obedient to God's will for us also.

B. Christ brought victory to the lost through his obedience. He died for our sins, thus removing the mountain of hopelessness for all humankind.

C. Obedience, plus faith, brings victory. When we do God's will with believing faith, mountains of trial, trouble, and testing disappear (Mark 9:23).

3. V-ISION IS NEEDED

"Where there is no vision, the people perish" (Prov. 29:18

A. Webster says "visualize" means "to form a mental image of something not present to sight."

B. Hebrews11:1 says it this way: "Faith is the sub-stance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

C. Through faith Christians can visualize the coming victory. They can win over sin, self, and Satan (1 Cor. 15:57).

4. E-NDURANCE IS NEEDED

"After he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise" (Heb. 6:15).

A. Some Christians are unwilling to wait God's time. we want mountains to move at their own designated time and place.

B. We must endure as Abraham did until "he received the promise." God's timing is always best, never too early or too late.

C. Keep on praying, believing, and waiting for God's timing. Jesus said that believing faith could do the impossible. You can move mountains (Matt. 21:21).
